Chinese Medicine for Anxiety
Traditional Chinese medicine views anxiety as an imbalance in the body’s energy, or Qi (pronounced “chee”).
One of the primary ways that Chinese medicine helps anxiety is through acupuncture. Acupuncture involves inserting fine needles into specific points on the body to stimulate the flow of Qi and restore balance. It is believed that acupuncture can help to calm the mind and reduce anxiety by regulating the body’s nervous system and releasing natural painkillers and mood-boosting hormones.
Chinese medicine also utilizes herbal remedies to help alleviate anxiety. Certain herbs have been shown to have calming effects and can help to reduce feelings of anxiety and stress. Jianshu Cheng often uses a combination of herbs in customized formulas to address the individual needs of each patient.
